24 Years!

For our 24th Wedding Anniversary we decided to embrace the fact we live in Arizona!
100 degrees F -  doesn't scare us into staying inside.

We ventured out to Canyon Lake (it is about 45 mins from us, not bad).

The drive is really pretty.
Well, in the desert beauty sense! :)

Some of the roads were a bit steep and windy,
and we couldn't help but imagine driving our RV
on the roads as we followed this one most of the way.

He wasn't going 20...

Finally, we got closer (and so did they!).
WATER, YAY!

plenty of room... yep.

not scary at all.

 Finally, we made it!
We partook in Dinner / Sunset Cruise

Great views and dinner!
It was warm, but really fun.

It is hard to see, but there are Mountain Goats on the hills.

No better way to end a day - than Sunset on the water...

Well, maybe with this cutie!

First RV trip: Disneyland

For our first RV adventure, we wanted to keep it sort of local, so we decided it was a good excuse to go to Disneyland (it had been about a year!!).   The RV park,  near Disney, took about 7.5 hours to get there with RV speed and stops.

We stayed at a place called Orangeland RV Park.  While, it was a glorified parking lot, it was actually really nice.  We arrived late in the evening, yet the employees were more than happy to help us out.  Keep in mind, this was our first time parking Etta in an RV spot (outside of our side yard).  The park overall was very nice.  Clean, friendly, warm showers if you wanted.  We did have partial connections (meaning water and electricity).  They were very pet friendly and had a pool.  Overall, nice place.  My favorite thing was that they would collect any trash you put on the curb!

Todd with Ray (our Ram) and Etta (our Travel Trailer) ready for their maiden voyage!

On this first journey, we decided it should be a T-N-T only type of deal,
as we figure this out. We made an exception for Duffy!'
(We were going to his favorite place after all.)

Open road, here we come!

Wild Dust Devil sighting.

Awe, desert rest stops are the best!

We arrived at our destination just as the sun was setting.
We did learn that Ray (our truck) is VERY bumpy on the roads through Riverside County... Oh my.  I almost wanted to walk the rest of the way for a bit there.

We arrived at Disney early the next morning, and remembered how much we loved it.
Previously, we lived in Orange County (20 mins away from Disney) and in Hong Kong about 20 mins away as well.  It has been rough being so far away the last few years.

Duffy found a friend!

We picked up dinner from our favorite Cuban place out there,
and pretended that we cooked in the RV.  LOL.

Also, we love to try out Vegan places when we travel, and we found this one down the street, called The Green Door.  We had breakfast there and it was so good!

Not to be wasteful with our time, we stopped by our storage unit.  We really need to empty this thing. It has had our stuff in there for 6 years....  Ugh!   We take a box or two every time we go... Hasn't really made a dent....

This time our goal:  Logan's bike and Bird play stand.
We figured Etta could help us out.

Duffy and Shelly kept our bed warm!

We were able to stop at our other favorite Vegan Place out there for dinner.
It was delicious, as always. I ate too much....
It is called Natural Food's Cafe

Seriously, Todd was skeptical about anything vegan until we tried this place.  It can convert even the staunchest of bacon lovers...

I should note we are not Vegan, just try to be vegan friendly when we can.

On the night before we headed back it rained, so we were able to fully test out the RV's leak proofness. Etta did great.

I can't forget we found our favorite coffee shop, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf!
So good....

And much needed for the bumpy ride out of town on the way home.

Rainy driving and the RV was a little scary, but actually Etta handled well.

The long drive home!

My favorite part of coming home, was this cutie waiting to give me loves!
